Hi Crafty friends, today’s post is a little different, it’s still about cardmaking but I wanted to touch on something that I feel is really important. And, that is the “why” I craft.
I saw a post, I think on IG, asking how we started crafting and why. It’s an interesting question and as I read some of the comments, many crafters were taught by their mothers or grandmothers.
But, one thing about the responses was common, it surprised me, many craft to treat nervous anxiety and/or stress. I relate as I developed PTSD several years ago which I talk about it in this post.
I started crafting when I was young too, but didn’t get serious about it until years later. Today, I consider crafting as my job, not solely a hobby. Stitching on cards, in particular, really calms my spirit.

I just recently purchased Lawn Fawn’s Embroidery Die set which comes with the embroidery hoop and a heart. There’s also add-ons available sold separately; a star and a rainbow. And to organize my floss, I use book rings and
