I keep an envelope with all my die cuts that I’ve colored and it’s terrific for this month’s challenge of using what’s in my stash to make cards. I picked this pretty floral cluster, “Thankful flowers” by Simon Says Stamp to showcase on this card today.
I’ve used this stamp set in so many cards like in this post and check out a different way I used this stamp set here. It is fun to color! I remember coloring with red Copics, but it so long ago that I don’t remember the specific colors. I apologize for not writing that down. I’m glad to finally be using it for this card!
For my card panel, I used Studio Katia‘s Mini dots cover die and this is an A2 size panel. Then I die cut another sheet of white cardstock and trimmed it to 3-3/4″ x 5-1/4. I then used a circle die to make a window.
I wanted to bring some more red, so I trimmed down a red sheet of cardstock to A2 size and blued it behind the other A2 size die cut piece and then placed my smaller cardstock piece with the circle window on top. Now you can see the red showing through those little dots.
Next, I glued my floral cluster in the bottom right half of the card and used some foam squares to prop up the foiled sentiment. See how that foil shines under different lighting?! Love, love this card!
