June Monthly Challenge: Stickers and Accessories

June Monthly Challenge - Stickers and Accessories

Hi Crafty friends, today’s post for this month’s challenge pairs Dollar Tree stickers with embellishments from my stash. I made these 2 pretty cards in a matter of minutes and was that fun!!

Dollar Tree has some beautiful 3D stickers and I love using them. Check out my other cards with Dollar Tree 3D stickers here and here. I’ve used them to make even easel cards! And when paired with other embellishments such as die cutting, ink blending and stamping, you really have a wonderful final card project.

For my first card, I used two 3D stickers. The first is the bike and the second the “Enjoy” banner. I deliberately left off a sentiment because I figured I could add one later and I can also write a personal message inside.

For the pairing, I die cut the grass and ink blended it with “Pearfection” Pawsitively Saturated inks by Simon. which is my favorite green for grass and leaves. The banner on the left side comes from a paper pack by Paper Rose Studio called “Butterfly Garden” which I’ve used many times before. There’s some pretty papers in that pack.

For my second card, I added more embellishments made up from my stash. I keep a lot of leftover die cuts from previous projects. First up, I embossed the card base and card panel with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. For the picture frame, I used Honey Bee Stamp’s Wood Frame Builder die set. Each piece, I die cut 4 times on gray cardstock, glued them together and adhered to the card panel to add nice dimension. Plus it looks really nice against all the white in the background.

The floral banner on the bottom is Spellbinders’ Universal Curved Border Set from their April 2021 Large Die of the Month club. However, I don’t believe this die is available anymore. I stamped my sentiment using Simon Says Stamp’s “smoke” ink pad. I wanted a softer look so opted not to go with black this time.

The 3D sticker sits in the center and I added another floral arrangement also from that same sticker sheet right behind the center floral cluster + one more on the frame.

It is so fun rediscovering older but goody products and coming up with new designs. I definitely recommend you looking through your stash and using some of those products you maybe haven’t brought out in awhile. It’s also a great starting point for times when you’re struggling creatively.
