Hi my friends! I’ve got a little series going on I’m calling, “Florals & Frames”. I chose this title because I love flowers and especially dressing up shapes likes rectangles, circles, squares, arches and today I’m working rectangles.
The florals used are from Simple Stories, “Wildflower Floral Bits”, it’s full of such pre-cut, beautiful flowers and leaves. I love using these packs for making cards quickly.
To dress up my card I added a little scallop edging with Pinkfresh Studio’s Lacey Edgers die set. Check out other cards made from this die set here. The sentiment comes from the set, “Blessing Words Heart Sentiment Stamp Set” that I bought on AZ. It’s a wonderful array of different sayings, I used this same set for my shaped birdhouse cards in this post.
For the rectangle, I wanted a border around the sentiment so I trimmed my cardstock to 2-1/2″ x 4-1/4″, the sentiment on white cardstock is about 2″ x 4″.
I glued my florals down on both edges of the card and trimmed off the excess. The cardbase has some embossing on it. It adds interest instead of a plain white background. I really like how this card turned out and the sentiment is perfect.
