Christmas in July: Simple Stories Vintage Rustic Christmas

Christmas in July: Simple Stories

Hello friends, today I’m sharing a card I just made using some ephemera from a few packs by Simple Stories, “Rustic Vintage Christmas” plus a few extra embellishments from my stash. Check out how I’ve used this collection a few years ago to make cards here and also shaker tags here and here.

Unfortunately, it seems this collection has been discontinued. However, I found a few items from this collection at Scrapbook.com and I’ll link to that page at the bottom of this post.

This card came together so quickly! First off, I chose the poinsettias from the pack with some leaves and glued them together for my floral cluster. I set this aside to work on the cardbase.

For my cardbase, I went with Simon Says Stamp’s “Schoolhouse Red” cardstock, it is such a pretty, rich red perfect for Christmas. I decided to make the card look like a present so I took lace that I bought from Dollar Tree. Dollar Tree has some beautiful ribbons in their crafty section.

I glued the lace with Art Glitter Glue, this glue seems to work better for fabric and I’ve used it a lot when I was making faux leather earrings. After I let that dry, I adhered my floral cluster, topped it with the sentiment and added some white gems and pearls on top.

Like I said, this card came together quick and easy!
