Honey Bee Lovely Layers Floral Cards

Hi Crafties! I so so love Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers Collection and you know I’ve been using these florals in many, many cards! (FYI: I also have the Peonies die set arriving today YAY!)

I made 4 cards and I paired my flowers with other products that really complimented my color palette.

I’ll start with the Anemone florals card. Before I get started, I used Sunny Studio’s Herringbone Frame Die for all my cards. In this other card, I used it like an embossing folder for a cool look! I also used Simon Says Stamp’s “All About You” stamp set for all the sentiments.

The background for this card above came from my Boho Abstract designs I had left over. You can check out the entire collection here and here. After making my card panel, I added my flower. I die cut it on white cardstock and ink blended it with Pinkfresh Studio inks in “Lavender“. I wanted more color on the bottom of the petals and more lighter toward the center. The leaves, I colored with Pinkfresh’s “Olive” ink.

For the center, I ink blended with “Espresso” and “Doe“. I also used Ranger’s Star Dust Stickles for a little glam. This was my first time using this product and I like it enough to use it on my sentiments for all 4 cards! This is the only card I added a few foam squares behind the layers for dimension.

For my Tulips card above, I used a background that I ink blended the panel with Simon Says Stamp’s Pawsitively Saturated Inks in “Sunbeam“. Then I stamped their “Love Is” cling stamp on top. I added the herringbone frame over it and added my flower and sentiment. The flower, I ink blended with Pinkfresh Studio’s “Marigold” and “Clementine”. The leaves, I again used their “Olive” ink.

For my Rose card above, I used another inky background just like the Tulips card, topped with the Herringbone frame and added my rose. The flower, I ink blended with “Lavender” and “Marigold” and “Olive” for the leaves and stem.

I think this is my favorite card from this collection, I love the Coneflower so much! This background is another Boho abstract that again I stamped the “Love Is” on top. I can’t remember what ink I used to stamp that, sorry 🙁

I added my coneflower that I ink blended with “Espresso” for the top and “Marigold” and “Sky Blue”. I was looking for another color combination. The leaves I again used “Olive”. I love that color all my foliage.

I fussy cut around all my sentiments because I didn’t want them to be square or rectangular. I just love how beautiful these cards are in real life and wish you could see them in person! These Lovely Layers dies are just perfect for any card occasion and can’t wait to get the Peonies so I can start playing with that set!
