I absolutely love making strips out of cardstock and using them for quick backgrounds. CAS cards are my favorite to make as they are simple designing and easy for me. I don’t do so well with really complicated scene building type cardmaking.
I just some colored cardstock from my stash and trimmed them to be 1 inch and 1/2 inch, then set aside. The center is just a circle die cut with white cardstock a few times for dimension and my sentiment stamped in the center. I decided to put the stripes in a diagonal motion on my card fronts.
The sentiment is from Studio Katia and the ink I stamped with is from Pinkfresh Studio. The cardstock comes from two brands: Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp. The stitching border is a die from _____ and I love the extra detail.
I went in the opposite direction for my stripes on this card and I really love the simplicity of this design. Easy and quick and you’re done!
