I absolutely love to stitch on cards, it’s relaxing to me while I watch videos and Spellbinders has a wonderful “Hello” SDOM (also LDOM too) for May 2022 and when I saw it, couldn’t wait to get it.
I subscribe to their Small Die of the Month Club kit, but I’m hoping that the Large Die of the Month will be available for individual purchase sometime in the future. I’d love to have that one too!
I stitched on this card over a few days. I’m not a fast stitcher! LOL 😀 I stuck mostly with yellow/golds color palette mixing and matching solid and variegated embroidery flosses (loving the color changing)! Stitching on cards is fun and also on felt too, in fact, check out the Christmas mittens I made last year here.
I wanted a stitched border around my card, so used one from my stash. The SDOM is the perfect size for an A2 card. I used a bright orange glitter cardstock from Simon Says Stamp to die cut the “Hello” letters.
Another thing I did was I die cut the SDOM twice on heavyweight cardstock and glued them together before I started stitching. I wanted the piece to be stronger and have a little dimension. Overall, the card isn’t too bulky at all. Turned out beautifully! I have plans for another card using a completely different color palette!
