Poinsietta Christmas Card

Poinsietta Christmas Card ~ Kim's Handcrafted Cards

I love making Christmas cards with poinsiettas, they are such a beautiful, bright flower wonderful for decorating any project for Christmas!

I had a little time last week to finish this one card featuring a poinsietta die set I picked up on AZ. Believe it or not, there are some third-party legitimate craft companies that sell quality crafty products on AZ and I found one called KSCraft. I’ve bought several die sets from them and in fact one of my favorite florals dies is from them.

Anyhoo back to the card…

For my card today, I die cut the flowers with 2 shades of red cardstock from Simon Says Stamp and I used Liquid Pearls for the centers. While that was drying, I worked on my background which is combo of Washi tape and 2 pattern papers from Spellbinders “Christmas Wishes” paper pack which is no longer available at the time of this post. However, any Christmas pattern papers will work to make a card similar to this one.

The poinsietta die set comes with 2 different size petals and the outline as well which is optional to use. I used the outline die on one flower and not on the other. It also comes with leaves, but didn’t use those for my card today. First, I added the washi tape strip on the left side of my white cardbase and then adhered my pattern papers. I didn’t want too much bulk.

Lastly, added my sentiment strip from Simon Says Stamp.

Aren’t those florals so pretty and festive?! I just LOVE this card!
