The Dollar Tree‘s crafting section is really stepped up! They have some terrific goodies and I find myself going to that aisle first every time I shop there LOL! I love their transfer paper and used it before. So, I wanted to make Valentine’s Day cards and was so happy to find they had “love” transfer paper.
This is a great item to have for mass producing cards. It comes on 1 sheet that can fill just about any size card. I stuck to A2 size for my card and I sure wish I had bought more sheets! You can make a bunch of backgrounds quickly with these sheets. They even have gold foil transfer sheets and I bought some of those too for future.
The transfer paper sticks perfectly onto cardstock and is strong. I simply trimmed my sheet down to 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ adding double-sided foam tape on the back for dimension and adhered it to my card base.
To embellish the top, I had a bunch of extra heart die cuts so I used one to stamp my sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.
Then, I glued it down to the card panel and trimmed off the edge (I should have done this BEFORE I adhered it to my card base, lesson learned). Anyway, I was very careful trimming off the edge since it was on my card base and I wasn’t about to risk pulling it off.
I added a heart lastly and this card was done! I just love the vintage print of the transfer paper, this card came together literally in about 20 minutes. Next time you’re out shopping for crafts, stop by your local Dollar Tree!
