Hi Crafty Friends! Welcome to the first post of my Christmas in July 2023 Series! I LOVE making things for Christmas and July gets me ready for the Holiday season every year.
I was thinking of a theme for this year and as I was going through my Christmas folders, I noticed a lot of gift tags. Tags are great on their own and I plan to make them but I also love adding them to cards. That’s what I did for this card.
The embellishments all come from previous card projects that I’ve saved in folders. I have so many emphera pieces, pattern scraps, sentiments, even washi tape which I also used on this card. Unfortunately, I don’t have any of the labels so I don’t have links to these products, I apologize for that.
The washi tape is on the left side of my card and I added a checked strip of paper to slightly overlap it. My gift tag I’ve had for awhile so punched a hole and added a pretty red ribbon. I also placed double sided foam squares to prop it up on the card, added the sentiment strip and some red enamel dots and that was it.
I wasn’t sure about leaving so much whitespace on the right side, but the more I looked at it, the more I liked it. So, I left it alone.
My matching envelope has some embossing on the flap using one of my Cuttlebug embossing folders.
This card came together so fast and I love how it turned out! Follow along with me as I’ll post more design ideas for this Christmas in July season. If you’d like to see other cards I made from last year’s CIJ season, click here. Thanks for reading!
