Some of my best cards of 2021

Hi everyone! Today, I narrowed down some of my best cards for the year, but not in terms of how complex the finished project was but: (a) how enjoyable it was to make the card; (b) I really liked the technique I used; and (c) the design turned out great in the end. This 3 points are really important to me in cardmaking and that’s why some of my cards didn’t make the list this year.

I hope you enjoy the slideshow, it was really cool for me in creating it as I looked on these cards and remembering how and when I made them and it brings a smile to my face. And, you’ll find these cards are posted here on the blog!

It’s a fact that I did not make nearly as many cards this year as I did in 2020. I believe there’s a few reasons for that, one I still had my online card shops last year so to keep the store stocked, I made a bunch of cards.

I still have a few more cards to add to the slideshow!

But at the beginning of this year, I closed down all my card shops and changed from a business model to a full-fledged hobby/charity. I couldn’t be happier and gone was the stress to create new cards daily. Now, I create for me and give them away.

One goal I set for myself this year with my cards was to spruce them up a bit, try new techniques that I hadn’t done before and also to have fun even through making mistakes and I think I’ve done that!

Thank you 2021!
