Hey Crafty friends, I hope your weekend is starting off good! Today, I’m sharing a card I finished up last night with KSCRAFT products. I really like the products Hannah from KSCRAFT Designs creates. I have several die sets from them and when I recently saw the mug shaker die set, I really had to get it! I’ve talked about KSCRAFT before in this post about the tissue box cover I made; and how I trust shopping from her. She sells both on AliExpress and Amazon, I mostly buy from her AZ shop.
It comes with so many ways to embellish it for different occasions. It’s meant to be a shaker mug, but I didn’t use it for that on my card. I decided to make a borderless shaker and a 5 x 7 card! I don’t make many large size cards but I really wanted to showcase sequins mix also from KSCRAFT and what better way to do that than make a big shaker edge to edge card?!
If you have not made a borderless shaker card before, you have to try it! How I make mine is, I use sheet protectors that I trim down to about 1-1/2″ more than my card panel and place double-sided tape on all 4 edges. I remove one strip at at time and fold over the sheet protector on top of my panel. I only do this for 3 sides to form a pocket. Then I can pour in my shaker bits. After that, I remove the final tape strip and fold it over my card panel. Now I have a borderless shaker card!
To dress up my panel before I added my shaker element, I used some pretty pattern papers from my stash that I bought from AZ.
On the center of the mugs, I added some die cut hearts that I keep in my drawer. They are from Simon Says Stamp.
For the center of my card (below), I used some pattern paper from my stash that I folded, added a few die cut florals that I ink blended on (also from KSCRAFT). For the ink colors, I went with Pinkfresh Studio inks in “Marigold”and “Raspberry Bliss”. Used some Nuvo Crystal Drops for the centers. I took a few shots under the lighting to give you a good view but of course photographing plastic is tricky so hopefully it doesn’t look too bad 😀
I used that same pattern papers on my mugs and on the chocolate, I ink blended with “Distress Vintage photo” and “Walnut stain“. After that, I used Glossy Accents and poured some Distress Glitter over it. I shook off the excess and let it dry. I love how it looks on my mugs.
After my mugs were all done, I finished my shaker element using KSCraft’s “Strawberry Sequins”, used some doubled-sided foam squares on the mugs for dimension. Lastly, the sentiment which comes from an older Small Die of the Month set from Spellbinders called “A Gift for You.” I die cut the words on black cardstock and glued them on top and my card is done!
