Hi crafty friends! Today, I’m sharing 2 cards I quickly made with pre-designed elements! You know, if you follow me, how much I love Dollar Tree’s crafty section, I buy 3D stickers, transfer papers, regular sticker sheets, sequins, you name it! It’s not only great for my budget but the quality is nice and they make wonderful handmade cards. Check out my other cards made with Dollar Tree’s 3D stickers here.
I also like mixing pre-cuts with my own die cuts or stamping sentiments, for this post, I mixed 2 scene 3D stickers with some greenery die cut leaves and birds from Spellbinders, I think they fit both scenes very well. I have a organizer where I keep my die cuts like flowers, birds, hearts, leaves and I grab for it when I need to embellish a card. Sometimes when I’m not feeling very creative, I’ll die cut a bunch more and just place them in my organizer.
Rub-on transfers are new to me and I’m hooked! I bought a few sheets from Scrapbook.com and I ordered another set for birthday cards! The rub on sentiment on the 2nd card below is gold foiled. So beautiful in real life, my camera can’t capture how pretty these cards are.
The leaves were die cut from different shades of green cardstock. For the birds, I die cut them from blue, yellow, green and white cardstock and just added a little black behind the eyes on one card and used my artist pen for the birds’ eyes on the other card.
I added some pattern paper from Paper Rose on the back though you can’t see much of it because the 3D sticker is really large and I wanted it to be the focal point.
This is one great way to get my mojo back by working with pattern papers, pre-diecuts and die cuts from my own stash. Thanks for Reading!
