KHC Lookbook: Mass Producing Encouragement Cards - Part 2

Making backgrounds is a fun thing to do in cardmaking and I like to use watercoloring, gel press and alcohol inking to make quick designs for my card bases and then adding a sentiment and you’re done!

I made these with a watercolor mix using the smooshing technique with Distress inks and an acrylic block. And, then added all my sentiments. Each card has a different message.

I used various sentiment strips for each card all with sweet encouraging messages. These sentiments are from Simon Says Stamp and I love using these to make cards quickly plus I don’t have to always heat emboss sayings. It’s a WIN-WIN in my book!

One thing that was important to me when I had my Etsy shop was creating multiples of cards so that’s why I did a LOT of mass producing. Since closing my shop and changing the model of my crafting career to a hobby/job, I typically try to make at least 2 cards of the same or similar design.
