Clean and Simple Card with Stamps Bought at Dollar Tree

Clean and Simple Card with Dollar Tree Stamps

Hey Crafty friends, today I’m sharing a very simple but cute card using a stencil and a Crafter’s Square Stamp set at Dollar Tree. When I first saw these stamp sets at Dollar Tree, I had my doubts. But, I was intrigued and for $1.25 ea., I’m like, “why not?” and I purchased 3 sets. They are all sentiment stamps and I can always use more of those.

Last night, I used one of them, it contains a lot of phrases that you can put together for thank you cards. The stamps are not made as thick as our crafty stamp sets but it got the job done and I was quite happy with the outcome on my card.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find this stamp set on the Dollar Tree website, but check your local Dollar Tree.

Would it be a viable source for stamping?

These stamp sets are not made with the same quality as the ones we buy at craft companies. So, I wouldn’t replace my crafty stamp sets I’ve purchased from companies like: Simon Says Stamp, Spellbinders, Gina K. Designs, Concord & 9th, Honey Bee Stamps, Pinkfresh Studio, Lawn Fawn, Waffleflower Crafts, etc., these Dollar Tree stamp sets I think are good for quick cardmaking, for newbies and great for kids to get them into crafting.

So for my background, I used the Paper Rose Distressed Brick stencil. I love this stencil set so much, check out some other cards I made with it here. And, I ink blended over it with Simon Says Stamp’s Pawsitively Saturated Inks with these colors:

  • Blush, Pucker
  • Watermelon, Cherry
  • Sunbeam, Citrine

For the the rectangle panel, I used a nested rectangle die set that has those cute stitch marks around the edges and stamped my sentiments on it. The heart I stamped with Cherry ink pad and traced it with my Pentel #102 red marker. It’s a simple card that didn’t take more about 30 minutes to make and like card projects like that!

I still have 2 other Dollar Tree stamp sets to try out so I plan to test them out and if I like how they work, I’ll make more cards with them to share! Have a great day and Thanks for Reading!
