Cute Shaker Gift Tags

There are days when I don’t have a lot of time to make cards. However, I still want to get crafty so one way is to make gift tags! They don’t take long to make especially if the components are pretty much done.

In today’s post, I’m sharing 2 shaker gift tags I made using a bunch of products of different companies but they blended so well together!

Some of the components like the elephants (from Lawn Fawn “Wild Birthday” stamp/die set), the scallop borders I already had done. I keep my extras when I die cut and pull from those stashes when I need to make something quick or when I don’t have a lot of time to spend on making a card.

The only things I had to do was the ink blending for my backgrounds and making the balloons for the elephants to hold onto. I used Simon Says Stamps’ “Blush” and “Sunbeam” Pawsitively Saturated Inks. I trimmed down these 2 panels to fit the smaller of the 2 Pinkfresh Studio “Scallop Borders” dies.

I die cut some extra panels just to give the tags some dimension and more strength too. I stamped my sentiment on the panels (sorry that sentiment stamp set is no longer available 🙁 .)

I used Acetate and double-sided foam adhesive to build my shaker walls. And, I doubled up on the foam adhesive because I wanted more dimension. The shaker bits are from Sizzix.

If you want to know how I colored my elephants, check out my post, “Practicing my Copic Coloring, Part 3…“. I list the marker colors there as well.

I die cut the balloons using 2 products, the string, bow and round holder on top (I made sure to glue the holder down in between my scallop borders) is from Spellbinders “Floating Bunny” from their March 2022 Small Die of the Month Club. I tried to see if this die set is still available but I couldn’t find it 🙁

The balloon is the 2nd to the smallest circle die from Waffleflower Crafts. I die cut the balloons with colored cardstock from my stash.

I filled my tags with the shaker bits and pressed down the top panel to ensure none of them escaped. Also, before I did that, I applied some anti-static powder all around the edges to prevent the shaker sequins from sticking to the edges.

I glued down the elephants and the balloons on the front of the tags and to finish these off, I added some gems from Honey Bee Stamps. Added bakers twine that I bought from Dollar Tree to the tags and they were done! I love how they turned out!
