Simple Die Cutting Making Shaker Hearts – Part 3

Simple Die Cutting Making Shaker Hearts - Part 3

Hello all! Here’s my last part of these Valentine’s Day cards for the new year! If you missed Part 1 & 2, I have the links below.

Part 2: Using Transfer Paper/Pattern Papers & Stamp surgery → click here

For these last two cards, I decided to step them up and make shaker hearts and adding a simple sentiment at the bottom. Again, as in Part 2, I used Catherine Pooler Designs “Winter Pick-n-Mix” pattern paper pack for my backgrounds. These colors are so fun and perfect for Valentine’s Day.

For my shaker bits, I used Spellbinders Sweet Sprinkles. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp “Beautiful Flowers” stamp set, it’s a favorite of mine for the wonderful messages. Added a heart at the bottom and that does it for these 2 cards!

I again used that “Blush” color for stamping my sentiment. I tell you, I love this color and also that Simon’s Pawsitively Saturated inks are so easy to stamp with!

Those little hearts at the bottom are from Simple Stories “Vintage Cottage” sticker book. They were also part of Simon’s April 2021 card kit. I had used most of these but had a few little hearts left over.

I really love how large the heart die cut is on my cards so that adding a small sentiment was all I needed for this clean and simple design.

BONUS CARD

I had one leftover heart die cut (negative space) so decided to add another shaker to this collection! I used a sentiment that I die cut with my circle dies from Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine Winter Edition! It was perfect for attaching to the outside of my acetate in the center of the heart! These are too cute!
