Last week I was watching Yana Smakula’s video on using negative die cutting for the actual card front design and she used some dies from Spellbinders which intrigued me. I die cut all the time but rarely use the negative piece left behind.
So, I looked through my stash and found Simon Says Stamp’s Dahlia Stem Wafer die that I thought would work perfectly with this technique. I used some pattern paper for the panel underneath the die cut tulip piece.
I then filled the flower with Nuvo Silver Rain sequins that have this beautiful holographic colors and it really shows under the light.
I stamped the sentiment with Simon’s khaki ink, really loving that for sentiments. And you can see the pattern paper design through the tulip leaves. Very simple but I think a classy design.
