These birdhouse dies through the seasons are among my favorites to die cut, the collection comes with so many pieces to customize our cards! I just recently posted some Christmas cards made with the Winter birdhouse here. Again, I used this one cause it’s my favorite in the collection.
These cards were made last year right around the time that I purchased these dies + I used Simon Says Stamp’s scalloped die and partial die cutting to make a shaped card. Jennifer McGuire’s YT tutorial inspired me to try this technique and I loved the edging effect on these cards.
The sentiment strip is also from Simon, an easy way to add a sentiment to a card like this one with a lot of dimension.
Some other touches made was distressing the stand with Vintage Photo distress ink. I also love that trimming off the roof and die cutting the birdhouse in another color cardstock to make it also have a blue roof. And, aren’t those birdies the cutest?!
I used my white gel pen to add speckles on the card base for some texture and interest.
Had to add a heart to the cards as well!
